In the wellness and health industry, many products are sold with claims one bolder than another. The question is how do we know which claims of natural products can we trust? Usually, the answer is the bolder the claim, the more probable it is there is next to nothing behind the marketing.
There are many ways the marketers are trying to get us into buying their products:
- The products might contain ingredients promised, but the effects of the ingredients are either highly inflated or the effect the amount of the ingredients is able to produce, is insignificant.
- There is no or very little of advertised ingredient(s) in the product, making it nearly placebo or completely useless
- There are different than advertised or non-listed ingredients in the product
The most serious and potentially a threat to one’s health is when a product is advertised as natural but has synthetic or synthesized ingredients not listed. Common types of these kinds of products are sold for weight loss and bodybuilding purposes. For example, FDA frequently finds steroids, which often are illegal, in bodybuilding products. Another example some time ago was a study that found the level of melatonin in many of the products claiming to have melatonin, was significantly lower than advertised or non-existing.
We at GoPure Botanicals, let our products speak for themselves. Our products do contain ingredients that usually have been found to have different kinds of effects by science, but they are part of the plants’ natural alkaloid- and biochemical spectrum. That’s why we consider our products “natural natural“.
GoPure philosophy is to offer the product to our customers as safe and natural as possible. One of the main characteristics of natural for us is that there are no added ingredients whatsoever. Most of our products come in dried and/or powdered form, which gives the plant material a long shelf-life without preservatives and without affecting significantly the potency or the natural chemistry of the plant.
GoPure products don’t have any added, foreign or natural ingredients in them. The only exception is some necessary “filler ingredients” to enable sell products in different forms such as tinctures or tablets. However, these fillers are neutral without having any effects or otherwise contributing to the plant(s) original power.
